Abandonment in Childhood – The Pain That Lingers

Studies have shown that feelings of abandonment during the womb or early childhood years can leave behind deep energetic imprints—imprints that can later manifest as both physical and emotional health challenges.

Let me share a piece of my own story.

I was just four years old when my parents had to leave me and my three siblings with our grandparents. They went to work in another place—doing what they had to do. Every night, I would sit near the door and cry, hoping they’d come back. My siblings didn’t seem to mind much, but something inside me was breaking. My little heart couldn’t make sense of their absence. I didn’t understand duty, jobs, or distance. All I felt was: they left me.

That quiet ache—what I now recognize as the fear of abandonment—never really left. It echoed through the years. And over time, it began to take shape in my body. I developed Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), and later, psoriasis. The skin flared, the gut twisted, and the body began expressing what the heart had long suppressed.

Emotional wounds in childhood are not “just emotional.” They become part of the body’s blueprint. When a child feels abandoned—whether by a parent, by love, or by safety itself—it disturbs the energy field. This disruption, when left unresolved, can ripple across a lifetime.

How Childhood Abandonment Manifests in Health

Physical Diseases:

  • Autoimmune conditions like rheumatoid arthritis and lupus
  • Skin disorders such as eczema and psoriasis
  • Digestive issues including IBS, ulcers, and Crohn’s disease
  • Hormonal imbalances, often involving the thyroid and adrenals
  • Respiratory disorders like asthma
  • Neurological issues such as Parkinson’s and MS
  • Heart conditions, including high blood pressure and irregular rhythms

Emotional and Psychological Effects:

  • Depression and anxiety
  • Panic attacks and PTSD
  • Emotional dysregulation and mood swings
  • Difficulties in relationships and intimacy
  • Addictions of various kinds
  • Low self-esteem and chronic self-doubt

But here’s the hopeful truth: What was once wounded can be healed.

When we trace a chronic condition back to its energetic or emotional root—when we understand that disease is not punishment but expression—we begin to awaken true healing. Through vibrational medicine, homeopathy, awareness, and love, we can soothe the child within and help the body unburden itself.

🌿 Message

Sometimes the body speaks for the heart that was never heard.
Listen to it. Hold it with compassion.
Because healing often begins the moment we stop asking, “What’s wrong with me?” — and start asking, “What happened to me?”
